The Project: Data CENTRE Deployment

Lantech was asked to consult on the Infrastructure design for a Global company who were deploying an enterprise application service which was to be in-house and hosted in a Tier 1 Data Center.

What we did:

Lantech worked with the client to understand their specific requirement for the use of the application and the expected business growth projected for the next 3 years. Lantech also worked with the Software vendor to gather critical information relating to the performance of the application to determine appropriate scalable infrastructure.

Due to the high performance requirement of the application Lantech selected HP Proliant DL300 series hardware for the server cluster and HP MSA2040 with AutoTiering for the storage infrastructure, VMware for the Virtualisation of the application servers, Veeam for data and systems availability, and Cisco for connectivity.

Lantech presented the design specification to the client and in collaboration with the Internal team, agreed the final specification, rack layout and network design and Lantech was tasked to configure deploy, document and verify the infrastructure.

We agreed with the client an aggressive time-line and then procured the server, network and storage hardware which was delivered to our offices, built by our HP engineers and transported to the data centre for deployment to the agreed rack layout and design. The entire deployment was photographed, documented and then verified with the client.
